This unique and very heavy art glass piece was designed by Swedish artist Bertil Vallien for Kosta Boda, and features a thick solid clear glass sand cast with various figures, with a center hearts motif copper underlay. It is signed by Bertil Vallien.
It measures 5 3/4" square, 2 1/2" high, and weighs 3 pounds. It is in very good vintage condition with no chips or cracks, but please note that there is some dark patina/discoloration on the copper inlay as pictured and it is priced accordingly. Please see all photos for condition details.
In addition to being a unique decorative piece, it would also make a sturdy catch all or trinket dish for keys, jewelry, and the like.
