How can I pay?

I accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, Debit Cards, Venmo, and Paypal.  Paypal processes my credit card and Venmo payments too, so will show as the processing company on your receipt no matter what payment method you use, but you do NOT need a Paypal account to use a credit/debit card.

Where do you Ship?

I only ship within the United States (including Alaska and Hawaii), as the cost to ship outside of the US, and risk of damage, is much higher for my items.

Do you offer local pickup of orders?

Yes, if you are in the Reisterstown area and would like to pick up your order in person, just select the "Local Pickup" shipping option during the checkout process so no shipping will be charged.  I will then contact you to schedule a day and time for porch pickup when your order is ready.

Can I Send my Order Directly to a Giftee with a Gift Note?

Absolutely!  Just be sure to put the recipient's name and address on the ship to information for the order, and tell me what you'd like the gift note to say in the comments of your order (or message me separately if you forget!)  I will put your message on an occasion appropriate note and enclose it in the package.

When will my Order be Shipped?

Unless an item is noted as made to order in the product description, it will ship out within 2 business days from the date of purchase.  Shipping times for made to order items are listed in the description as applicable.  Please note that the number shown as "In Stock" does NOT necessarily mean that that many are ready to ship.  "In Stock" refers to the number I'm able to make with the supplies I have in stock.  Please check the item description to see if that item is made to order and what the shipping timeframe will be.

How Will My Order be Shipped?

I ship all items in very well-padded packaging, as I want to be sure they arrive safely!  Most items are shipped via USPS Priority Mail with tracking and insurance. Jewelry and paintings are shipped via USPS 1st Class Mail with tracking.

How Much is Shipping?

The shipping cost and method for each item is noted under the item price on each listing. I do offer reduced combined shipping for most multiple item orders. The shipping cost for second and subsequent items is noted as the "with another" shipping amount shown on each product listing under the item price.  The reduced shipping costs will automatically be calculated at checkout.

What Happens if My Order Arrives Damaged?

In the rare event that your item arrives damaged, I require that you please notify me via website message or email within 5 calendar days of receipt (as indicated by USPS tracking) and include photos of the damaged piece and packaging. Please keep all original packaging as you will need to bring it in to the post office with the damaged item for inspection.  I will file a USPS claim, and you can decide if you prefer a refund, or a replacement.  Refund / replacement will be made after I receive a copy of the completed post office inspection notice from you.

Do You Accept Returns?

Yes, I do accept returns for any reason under the following conditions:  I must be notified in writing within 14 calendar days of receipt as indicated by the USPS tracking, of your intent to return the item, and I receive it back within 21 calendar days from the date of receipt.  You are responsible for return shipping costs, and the item must be received back in good condition to receive a full refund (less shipping).  So please be sure to package it very carefully.  I recommend purchasing shipping insurance as well to protect you in case it is damaged on its way back to me.  Please note that returns/refunds are NOT accepted for custom orders.  Custom orders include those that are original designs created for you, and existing designs that are modified to meet your size and/or color specifications.

Custom Orders

I am happy to custom create a unique stained glass piece or painting for you, or modify an existing design and/or colors to meet your needs!   I do encourage you to first read my blog article on designing custom pieces to ensure you have some of the basic details figured out before contacting me. https://www.stainedglassyourway.com/blog/creating-custom-stained-glass-window-panel

Once I have a grasp of what you are looking for, I will provide you with a draft pattern and quote to approve.  After we work out all the details, I will create a custom listing for you to use to purchase it, and will then create the piece as agreed upon.  Turnaround times will depend on my current work load, and the size / complexity of the piece requested, but will be quoted up front.

**PLEASE NOTE**-- Due to issues with USPS, I no longer offer shipping on larger pieces.  So custom requests for larger pieces (over 12" diameter) must be picked up in person.

Do You Do Stained Glass Repairs?

I do not perform repairs on broken stained glass pieces.  Repairing stained glass is a whole other set of skills (that I haven't yet mastered), and very labor intensive.  However, I am happy to provide a quote on replicating your broken piece if desired.

Care and Hanging Instructions

Naturally, all glass items should be handled with care to prevent breakage!

Stained Glass Pieces:  Clean the glass with a soft dry cloth if smudged or dirty. It is normal for the solder and framing to dull/tarnish over time.  You can choose to let it age naturally, or you can clean/polish it with a stained glass polish.  Car wax works well too (I use Meguiar's NXT Tech Wax)

Fused Glass Pieces:  Fused glass pieces should be handwashed, and never used in a microwave.

Hanging Tips:  I recommend displaying your stained glass pieces indoors.  Hanging them outside will cause them to tarnish faster, and wind and rain will damage them over time.  Stained glass panels are best hung from screw hooks installed into your window frame, and hung from them using S hooks and chains.  Rectangular panels should be hung from TWO separate hooks and chains or wires so that they are vertical to the piece.  This will prevent the frame from warping over time.

For smaller suncatchers and hanging plates, the suction cup hangers I provide with your order are sized to support the weight of the piece ordered.  If you are buying your own suction cup hangers, I recommend getting ones rated to hold at least one pound more than the weight of your stained glass piece. The most important thing to ensure good adhesion is to clean your window very well with window cleaner and let it dry thoroughly before adhering the suction cup. Also, wipe a VERY thin film of cooking oil on the inside of the cup for better adhesion (oil doesn't evaporate like other liquids). Do check the cup bond periodically. Do NOT hang suncatchers on glass windows or doors that will be opened and shut frequently, as this will increase their risk of falling.

Alcohol Ink Pieces:  All alcohol ink pieces have been sealed and treated with a UV protectant, but should still be handled carefully to avoid scratching the design, and kept out of direct sunlight to prevent fading.  Alcohol ink trivets should be gently wiped clean with a non-abrasive cloth or sponge, but not submerged in water or placed in the dishwasher to protect the cork backing from separating.  Excessive scrubbing could damage the finish and artwork.

Colors and Shades

Part of the beauty of stained glass is how it takes on different appearances in different lighting and angles. This can also make it challenging to photograph. I make every effort to portray accurate colors in the photos on each listing. However, due to the inherent nature of stained glass, as well as the variations inherent in different computer monitors, actual colors may appear slightly different in your home than what is shown in my shop photos. I do believe you will find that each item will actually look BETTER in person than in the photos. (At least that's what my customers have told me!)
