These beautiful ruby red wine glasses were made by Paden City Glass in their Glades line circa 1935. They feature a patterned ruby red flared rim glass top that screw in to a shiny chrome base. They measure 5 1/8" tall, 3 1/8" wide, and have a 3 ounce capacity.
These are in excellent vintage condition with no chips or cracks, or pitting.
The Paden City Glass Mfg. Company was founded in Paden City, West Virginia, in 1916. They were known for their high quality, elegant, and well-detailed glassware. The company survived for 35 years, closing in 1951. They were one of the only companies able to retain all of their employees through the Depression, but their purchase of the American Glass Company proved to be too burdensome and forced the closure of the company.
