This antique pierced silver plated expandable trivet is marked Sheffield Reproduction "4" and was likely made some time between 1850 and 1930, based on the mark, with the "4" representing use of 4 grams of silver.
It measures 10" wide when closed, expands up to 14" wide, and has an Old English style initial "G" engraved on it. It is in fair condition with substantial scratches, tarnish, and missing cork feet on the bottom, and is priced accordingly. If you either replace the missing cork feet, or remove the remaining ones, it would sit flat and be perfectly functional. Or leave it as is for a unique display decor piece!
