"Whooo" wouldn't love this adorable owl suncatcher?! (sorry, I can never resist a bad pun...)
This large owl suncatcher is made with three different textured and etched clear glasses. Two amber colored glass jewels are used for the center of the eyes, and a brown glass beak is soldered on top for a 3-D effect. It measures 4 1/2" x 7" (not including the ribbon) and hangs by two rings soldered to the top. It comes ready to hang with a suction cup hanger and gold ribbon.
This piece really sparkles in a sunny window! The solder is silver colored and polished to a shine, but will appear darker in a lighted window.
These can be made in several different custom colors of cathedral or opalescent art glass. If you know what you want, choose "other" and note the color and type of glass you prefer for each part of the owl. Each piece of glass is carefully selected, cut and shaped by hand, and assembled using the copper foil method (also known as the Tiffany method.)
