This set of two heavy 10 ounce footed iced tea glasses was made by Fostoria in their American Clear pattern, which they produced from 1915-1982. A classic early American design, they feature a sparkly reflective raised cube design, flared rims, and a short foot. The green glow under UV light shows the manganese content of these glasses, and indicates they were made between 1915 and 1920 when manganese was commonly used as a clearing agent in glassware.
Each glass measures 5 3/4" high, and 3 3/4" wide, and weighs a hefty 1 pound, 1 ounce. They are in excellent vintage condition with no chips or cracks, good clarity, and a few light scratches/wear on the rims.
I have multiple sets of two available. If you buy more than one set, I will refund any excess shipping from combining them into one box.
Please note that vintage and hand blown glass pieces may have manufacturing flaws such as air bubbles, seams, pontil marks, and other imperfections. These anomalies are not considered damage as they are inherent to the methods and/or the time period in which they were made.
